Honey Banana Bread

A fun healthy summer banana bread that is sweetened with honey. 

Enjoy for breakfast, a mid day snack, or a little dessert to have after dinner. 

This recipe is gluten and dairy free.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup of honey
  • 1/4 cup of apple sauce
  • 3 tbsp of water or nut milk
  • 1 1/2 cups of gluten free oat flour
  • 1/2 tsp of baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp of baking powder
  • 1/4 cup of dairy free chocolate chips
  • 1/3 cup of chopped up walnuts

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 and grease a 9×5″ loaf pan, or line with parchment paper.
  2. Mash bananas in a bowl. Add the rest of the wet ingredients and mix well. Add the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. 
  3. Then fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts into the batter. 
  4. Pour batter into loaf pan and bake for 30 to 40 minutes, or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  5. Once done allow loaf to cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving. 
  6. Bonus: Sprinkle Lakanto powdered sugar on top!
