"Every child deserves to live a life full of wonder and imagination."
What is Imagination-Based Trauma Healing?
IBTH is an innovative approach to growth and healing. If your child is struggling mentally, physically or emotionally, Imagination Based Trauma Healing is a great stepping stone for them. We will be working with the imagination to regulate the central nervous system, understand the emotions and how to process them, and reconnect each child with their own sense of wonder, self, and faith.
The first session will be strongly based on building trust, and we will begin clearing hidden emotional blocks that may be causing misalignments.
We will talk your child through various cues and guided imagery to allow their creative minds to flourish and restore their capacity to wonder.
"Through every trauma lies an innocent child ready to break free. In order to free the child one must be willing to face their trauma and take back their power.”
- Kimberly Lucas

Kid Sessions take place over Zoom. You and your child will be in the session together, from a comfortable place in your home.
Fidget spinners are recommended. We recommend a new fidget spinner for the first session so it feels special.

Yes! This is recommended, especially for the first session. There are some situations where your child will not feel ready to let go of certain emotions, in which case we divert to the parent and will have the parent work through the exercise and set the example for their child, all of this will be guided. Even if the child does not feel safe to express certain blocked emotions, seeing their parents set this example is extremely beneficial for them to witness.
Depending on the child and the situation, we recommend a session once a month at first, if possible. Ultimately, once your child has learned the skills and mastered the tools of working through their emotions on their own, every 3 to 6 months is recommended.
Every child is different, some children need weekly sessions while addressing specific traumas, while others just need a check-in a few times a year. We do recommend a week between booking more sessions to allow healing methods to integrate.
Your child will learn how to lean into their imagination to feel through their emotions, connect to their own sense of self and faith, and gain tools to navigate the trials of their lives through personal empowerment and self-mastery.
Zoom meetings seem to be the least invasive and intimidating for children. They can be in the comfort of their own home in a familiar setting. Also, most children are familiar with Zoom as an educational platform.
Yes, absolutely sessions are private and kept confidential between the child and the parents.
Every child can benefit from IBTH, and IBTH is especially beneficial for children who have experienced trauma, need help with processing emotions in a healthy manner, and/or feel out of place in their environment.

I spent most of my career in the entertainment industry and design, until
I was Divinely introduced to various faith-based approaches to cognitive behavioral therapy and alternate modalities to healing when training to work with foster children in 2015.
Upon reading ‘The Connected Child’ and discovering TBRI (Trust Based Relational Intervention), I quickly realized how misunderstood mental health is, and how patients have been stigmatized, institutionalized, and completely misguided.
Through unlocking our faith with creativity and imagination, one can realize their true potential in healing themselves, and take accountability for who they are.
I am particularly interested in serving the gifts of neurodivergent minds, the highly creative, PTSD survivors, and all children needing realignment with their sense of wonder.
